“Very clean hotel Friendly staff”

“Easy to drive to the lake, adequate breakfast to fuel the day. Our room said it would sleep 6 when I reserved. When we got there it was a king and foldout sofa. We were a party of 5. Requested a rollaway, but it never appeared. We put one of the kids on a pallet on the floor.”

“We were warned that the housekeeping was shortstaffed. But the room could’ve used a good dusting, there was something greasy spilt on the night stand, the bathroom floor counter needed a good sweeping. But the biggest thing was finding 2 pairs of underwear left over from the previous guest shoved in the corner of the closet. The breakfast was adequate for hotel breakfast.”

“We have stayed at Dunvilla every summer for the past 4-5 years when we visit family with a nearby lake house. The hotel is always clean, the staff incredibly friendly and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and refreshing. It is a rural setting, just a few miles from Pelican Rapids and I look forward to our stay every year. A hot breakfast is included as part of the stay and they have an impressive casual dinner menu as well. I truly look forward to our visit each year. I highly recommend……

“Love all the restaurants and the beachfront property was amazing for the kids. Love that we could eat our breakfast right on the water. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean.”

“The ice machines were not working, they were froze up. Their was police or ice agents activity their. On line they said the breakfast was open at 6:00 am, but didn't open up until 7 am. Change it please. Take off the previous owners off the web, it was very confusing. Other wise the breakfast was good, the juice machine was not working and had trouble with the waffle machine. Get things fix please. Will not go their again because of all these problems, poor management.”

“Nice inexpensive place to stay with an attached bar. In walking distance of a gas station, bakery and a restaurant. Beds are on the small side and rooms are a bit outdated. Overall we had a good experience and was pretty much what we expected for the price.”

“Extremely uncomfortable beds, hot tub was set so HOT that no one could even get all the way in, continental breakfast was poorly maintained, and the pool was dirty. Would not recommend!”

“It was the cutest modern motel. My husband and I last-minute planned a getaway to Detroit Lakes for our anniversary. I found Beachfront Haven on the “Visit Detroit Lakes” website in places to stay. It was clean, cute, cozy, affordable, and we felt safe in the area. It is across the street from the lake, surrounded by amazing restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!”

“I have stayed at this facility before and I am always please with how accommodating they are, how friendly the staff is and the rooms are clean, comfortable and they seem to always go a little over and above to make my stay better whether it is upgrading my room if they can, allowing me to check in a little bit early so I don't have to sit and wait in my car, and allowing for late checkouts at last minute or in one case having to book an extra night due to a snow storm. I have been very happy……

“This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. ”

“Parking was lacking, there was no where to really park. Lota of trailers. Had booked a normal room, but was upgraded to a suite due to a mixup with our room, so that seemed nice. Pleasant concierge. The suite was the last suite on the floor. You can tell it doesn't get used much, as there was a thin layer of dust on everything. Only 1 elevator. Room was fairly clean, but the public hallways were very dirty. (Stained and not vaccumed recently) Bed seemed comfortable until you actually tried to……
